I cannot see my emails today
I opened my Thunderbird and all my emails loaded but are not visible. Secondly I receive over 200 spam emails a day. I've had this account for a year now and would have expected that that wouldn't be an issue anymore. They are disgusting and obvious spam, why hasn't the software or whatever recognized that by now?

Do you mean you have an 'invisible' list ? In the area where the list of emails should be, can you check to see if they are simply 'invisible', click in the area of list where there should be an email and see if anything appears in the bottom Message Pane. If yes, you can read message but list is 'invisible':
- click on the far right column select icon
- select : 'Reset columns to default'.
see image below explaining more. Please report back on results.

Thunderbird cannot stop downloading whatever is in the server Inbox.
Thunderbird can check for Junk mail and auto send it to 'Junk' folder. This is done through the 'Junk Controls' which would need to have been trained to know what is Junk and what is not Junk. 'Account Settings' > 'Junk Settings' need to be accurate, whitelist address books need to be known and Junk Controls need to be activated and then trained. see example image below.
Junk Controls info:
What you do not say is whether the junk/spam emails are being put in the 'Junk' folder or not ? Is this for a POP or IMAP mail account ?
No, I do not mean I have an "invisible list". My email was highjacked by a Trojan and I could not see me INBOX. I had to spend $120 to get it fixed well before I even received a response form mozilla support. Now I can't send emails to people that I've been able to send emails to since I signed up for this email provider. What is even more infuriating is that I won't receive a response to this reply until probably Monday which is so helpful when I have work to do today and the rest of this week. What is the benefit of having this service if I have to wade through disgusting spam emails for thirty minutes to an hour to just get to the emails that I need?! It is for a POP account I believe, but how the hell would I know?
Are you really 'sorry to hear that'? I mean it took two days for anyone to even respond to me to begin with. I'm not impressed, satisfied, or pleased.
First off Thunderbird is email client software and not a provider. There is a big difference. Secondly it is free software due to programmers and volunteers donating their time. You getting malware on your computer sure does not fall under the scope of this support forum. Microsoft sells Outlook and has a staffed helpdesk if that would work better for your situation.
Why am I receiving Mail Delivery Failure messages when the emails are being delivered?
Wow, you may want to upgrade your "robot" to have much better customer service skills.
