My bookmark bar is acting weird. It is not showing any bookmarks except one. Even if I make a new bookmark, it vanishes the next time I open the browser.
Suddenly, all the bookmarks stored in my bookmarks toolbar vanished except one. Even if I add a new bookmark to this bar, it appears and remain only for the current browsing session. When I open FF next time, the new ones disappear and the same old item alone displays. I don't understand why this problem happens? I have uninstalled and re-installed the browser, still nothing changed Please find the attached screenshots for visual references.

Please use the method or renaming the file places.sqlite, rather than deleting it. Also note it is worth first of all installing and running the addon places maintenance that may not fix your issue but is unlikely to cause any harm, and it may just possibly help.
Deleting or renaming places.sqlite will cause you to lose your History, but that may be the only option you have.

Note that you should at least remove the places.sqlite-shm and places.sqlite-wal SQLite temp files if you only rename places.sqlite to force Firefox to create a new file.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks, history) in the Firefox profile folder.
