I asked firefox to restart w/o addons at the moment I can't even get to google and facebook is simply a list of topics - not the nice graphics page.

DID I DO SOMETHING? CAN I FIX IT?

Sorry for the delay in response. When you as Firefox to restart with add-ons disabled, you get two choices:

  • Start in Safe Mode
  • Refresh Firefox

If you use Start in Safe Mode, extensions are disabled and a number of advanced features are deactivated. To get back to normal, exit completely out of Firefox and start it up in the usual way.

If you Refresh Firefox, your old settings folder is moved to the desktop inside an Old Firefox Data folder. Your bookmarks are carried over, but no add-ons.

Does that help provide context? Did you use Refresh?
