How to close Firefox on Android?

Android Jellybean 4.2.2 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab3 SM-T310 with Firefox 29.0.1.
How to close Firefox when done? I know there is an add-on for it but want as less as possible unneeded things. Also, it should be a normal default action for any app.
Only way that I can see to close Firefox is through the Android Task Manager. Or am I missing something?

If your device provides the Android app switcher button press that then swipe applications off the screen to the left or right. If it does not try long pressing the home button.

Long pressing the Home button does the trick, thanx!
But still bit weird that all my apps "close" with the back/close-button. They are not on the Active Application list then also.
Only app that stays active when "closing" with the back/close-button is Firefox.
