Yahoo and AT&T have recently changed how they allow Authentication.
- Select 'Menu app icon' > 'Options/Preferences'
- In 'Options/Preferences' left Pane select Privacy & Security
- Select checkbox 'Accept cookies from sites'
You are probably already using these server settings, but you may not have changed the 'Authentication Method'.
Server Settings: IMAP Incoming server name: imap.mail.att.net Port : 993 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication Method: OAuth2 User Name - Enter your full email address.
SMTP Outgoing server name: smtp.mail.att.net Port :465 using Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication Method: OAuth2 User Name - Enter your full email address.
then restart Thunderbird. Yahoo will prompt you to logon to allow thunderbird access. then a token is created and stored in thunderbird which it will use from then onwards.
