Desktop shortcut not working
I am having a problem with creating a "workable" desktop shortcut for the Walmart grocery website. (I do not have problems with any other shortcuts I have created, only the Walmart website shortcut). The problem only began recently, as I have had a shortcut on my desktop for Walmart for months now. When the website locked up on me one day I deleted the original shortcut I had at that time, and I have tried many times since to create another one, but none will work. I am able to click and drag, from the Walmart website, to the desktop, to create the shortcut, however when I click on the shortcut to open it I only get a blank page. This is ONLY with the Walmart shortcut I create. What's going on, and why is this happening! It's infuriating!

Perhaps the Walmart website was changed, so far as security for their server.
Could your problem with a new desktop shortcut be with regards to including your logon credentials?
IOW, the new desktop shortcut was to a page where you were logged in?
If so, that have have been seen as a violation of their security protocols; the a blank page being all that loads.
Shear speculation on my part, but something for you to consider if my description is close to what you have happen. And "cookies" that Firefox saves for the "Remember Me" feature for website logins might be involved.

Yes, you were right! Thanks so much for the info! :-)
For what URL are you creating this desktop shortcut ?
Some pages include GET data appended to the link or send POST data from a form.
such a case it isn't a good idea to bookmark this page and it is better to bookmark the main (home) page.
If you use a bookmark to access a specific page then instead navigate to this page starting with the main page or with the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.
Thank you cor-el. The ed-meister (above) was correct in his assumption. I appreciate your response. :-)
Glad my hunch paid off for you!
