Until a few days ago I had no difficulty live streaming TV from my Xfinity account. Now, when I access my Xfinity account using Firefox, I can get to the TV guide, select a channel, but when I click on "watch" it goes to the loading screen, but none of the channels will load. It just sits there trying to load but never loads - for hours. I've reset modem and router. I can live stream using Internet Explorer and Safari but not Firefox. This all seems to have started a few days ago, perhaps coincident with Firefox update 59.0.3. What do I need to do so that Firefox allows Xfinity to live stream TV?

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

Go to your Browser add-ons. In Add-on Manager, Shockwave Flash player options "Block Dangerous content and intrusive flash..." ''''UNCHECK''''. This worked for my system. (Mac 10.9.5 / Firefox latest 59.0.3 / Shockwave Flash 29.0.) I was told by Xfinity that my Mac XOS was no longer 'supported' but apparently it's just a few back doors to get your streaming back up and running. Hope this helps a few others as well.
