I have Vista Home Pro, latest Firefox beta and Flash.

1. Launch Firefox shows blank page with 3175.00. Have to hit Home to log into my MSN web page. 2. When doing so, get generic MSN web page asking to log in. I do so. 3. If I shut down Firefox, each time I launch it starts item one again. This never happened in previous recent versions of Firefox. It used to be that once I log in to my MSN page, I am there automatically all day long no matter how many times I shut down Firefox.

4. Then when I finally log in, I get popup "Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party."???

5. Then there is that "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading" message where ever I go... asking "Allow" over and over?

6. Flash is screwing up all videos with NFL.com and CBSSports.com. Same with Flash in Internet Explorer 9. Making both browsers really frustrating. This has been like this for over a year now with no valid resolution. This problem is the worst. Locking pages for minutes before you can do anything.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites (e.g. msn.com) that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Items 1-4 have been fixed by adding Adobe Acrobat 11.0.2.0 and Google Update 1.3.21.135 plugins... not sure which one actually fix the issues and not sure why they fixed it. It is fixed and that is all I can say. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Flash has been a bane for over a year now on both IE9 and Firefox. Though not as much until lately with Firefox. Watching sport site videos are choppy, lock up or just crashes Flash.
