after dowloading firefox 'new versions' the screen goes a little crazy, 'new tab' ru
when downloading new versions of firefox, the term 'new tab' runs across the top of the screen, forever . . . & in turn I have billions or hundreds of replicated files.

-> Uninstall Firefox as described in this article -> Uninstall Firefox from your computer
- Restart your system
-> Download latest Firefox version from the following link using some other Web Browser:

Check and tell if its working.
It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
