Email in Inbox folder Not Being displayed
I have had folks tell me they are sending email and not received them. Today I went into "search messages" and they are showing there in "Inbox". Can someone tell me the issue and how to fix it? Unfortunately I'm not very technical and need assistance in laymen terms.
Thanks

Hi From what you say, I would doubt that you have used 'ignore' on purpose to hide parts of conversations, but it can happen accidentally. Checking 'ignored' would make visible those hidden conversations. Thunderbird has a number of keyboard shortcuts, and accidental key presses can cause unexpected effects, like press 'k' to hide a thread, or 'a' to move a message to archive. I have done that a bunch of times! Here is a list you can refer to if odd things happen in future. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts Hope that helps, Agnes

Hi A few of the basics to check are - do you have Threads view on and collapsed, do you have something in the search box, have you accidentally sorted by sender or subject or reverse date order? I hear that you are not very technical, but it would help if you could give some more detail and/or upload a screen shot of your inbox. Thunderbird has many settings and views, it would help if we could see what you are working with. Thanks!
Hi Agnes:
Thanks for getting back to me. I did go into Threads and it said all. Just experimenting, I checked ignore threads and it seemed to resolve the issue. Make sense?
It doesn't to me as previous email missed I don't think had a thread and still didn't appear but they have since disappeared from webmail (did I delete them?) where they were showing.
Thanks
Peter
