How safe are the passwords saved in Firefox ?
I am just curious because once I save the passwords in firefox vault ,I can read the passwords by going to Tools > options >Security > Saved Passwords. If Firefox can decrypt the password for me ,then so can Hackers and people attached with Firefox decrypt my passwords!!
So I am in doubt

See this . You'll get your answer . :)
Ok another thing that FF developers missed out is that they dont send link of the current post in the email update that they send me .
Have you tried send again option ?
- The names and passwords stored in signons.sqlite are encrypted with a Triple DES key (CBC mode) that is stored in key3.db and a master password adds an additional level to this encryption.
- If you do not use a master password then having access to key3.db and signons.sqlite is sufficient to have access to the encrypted names and passwords by placing the two files in a Firefox profile folder.
- When you enter the Master Password when prompted then you log in to the Software Security Device and it is possible to have access to the stored passwords until you log out of the Software Security Device.
- You can copy the name or password to the clipboard in the Password Manager window (Show Passwords) via the right-click context menu (you need to enter the MP)and you can paste it in the log in fields.
- You can log out from the Software Security Device (e.g. click Cancel in the Show Passwords dialog) to force re-entering the MP once again.
- Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
- Options > Advanced > Encryption: Certificates > Security Devices: Software Security Device: Log Out button
