Firefox not working after complete uninstall and reinstall.

Very few of the buttons are working in the firefox menu. The add ons button will not open the manager. None of the buttons in the help menu open, only a few in the options menu open. Does not work in safe mode. I have completely uninstalled, went into app data deleted the preferences file. Reinstalled several times and nothing... Kind of frustrating. Any ideas?

In case anyone else runs into this I figured it out. I had to remove the program, delete the preferences folder in Appdata, then go into the registry local machine>software>mozilla and delete the registry keys. There were three folders, I dont remember the exact names, but they all started with Mozilla. Once I did that I restarted and reinstalled. Now it works...

Sorry you didn't get a follow-up before this AM, and thanks for posting your solution. Forum volunteers aren't always online on the weekends and you posed one of the tougher questions.

If anyone else runs into this, physically removing the program folder (not the AppData folder) and reinstalling without the influence of whatever is carried over in the program folder from earlier installs would be worth a try before removing all personal data.

When deleting the AppData folders, make sure to reserve a backup of critical data from those folders such as bookmarks (*.json) and other files mentioned in this article: Recover important data from an old profile.
