I just upgraded to FF12 from 3.6. When selecting strings longer than screen width, screen does not scroll right. Selecting beyond lower edge of the page scrolls down automatically. More information: Both scroll bars are visiable and operable. Addon bar and toolbar visabilty does not effect the behavior.

Hi,

You can try to update Firefox and check. If the problem persists, you can also consider the Reset Firefox feature via Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information.

(To revert to the previous profile you were using, close the new profile (i.e. exit Firefox), start Firefox and choose the Default User profile. While the Profile Manager is open, you can also delete the newly reset profile (the one containing random numbers), or the former profile, as the case may be). If the reset is okay, it would be a good idea to delete the old profile as otherwise it would be left intact with the previous data until deleted.

It seems to be okay. Clicking, dragging and moving the mouse to the right edge and then to the left edge of the screen moves the scroll bar smoothly. You can try to check if it's working on other programs, eg. Internet Explorer.

No work around at my end. It works fine in other browsers and in FF3.6. It just started yesterday when I upgraded to FF 12 (and now FF14). Thanks for trying. Drew

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Deleted localstore.rdf - No change Safe mode - no change Default Theme - no effect

Is this isolated to my machine? Do I need to try a clean install (instead of upgrade)?

Does it work if you use the keyboard to extend the selection with Shift + cursor Right?
