Google new tab page has disappered and my custom buttons are gone, though according to the options in Google, those features are enabled.
Everything was working fine in Mozilla when I last used my computer. Today when I opened my browser, it was not responding, and I kept getting a stop script message. The script error is apparently related to the Mozila Extentions Manager, if that information helps. When it did load, the Google New Tab page and my added buttons ad disappeared, although according to the options menu in the toolbar, those features are enabled. I have uninstalled and reinstalled toolbar, and checked to make sure I have the latest version of Firefox. Is there any way to fix this? Is there something I could have done to cause it?

Just to clarify, your current browser is Mozilla Firefox (Firefox for short), not the Mozilla Suite (Mozilla for short). You are using the latest version, which is good.
As for your issue, it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in safe mode (don't forget to select Disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See this article for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and this one for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.
If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please have no fear of following my instructions to the line, as all can be easily undone.

The issue has been resolved. The script error was due to the Personas add-on being updated. Since Personas was apparently integrated with Firefox 3.6.8., the add-on was no longer necessary and caused the Google new tab page to appear as an untitled new blank tab. I uninstalled the add-on in Safe Mode and that fixed the issue, but I had to uninstall and reinstall Google toolbar afterward, because the buttons on the toolbar weren't responding when clicked. Everything seems to be working fine now. Fingers crossed there will be no more problems. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
Approximately the same problem occurs with my Firefox. Google Toolbar is working perfectly with 3.5 but updating to 3.6 erases several Google buttons and hinders Firefox operation. Downgrading to 3.5 restores the Toolbars operation.
Do you have the Personas Plus extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) ?
I uninstalled the google toolbar and reinstall it,,, cleared the history, cache, ect, and the new toolbar will NOT let me open my bookmarks or login,,, AND IT SAYS: Running Scripts and it keeps popping up until you open task manager and stop it!!! Then Fire fox won't work right???
Google Toolbar issues Version of FF: 3.6.8
