I lost my hard disc and had to reinstall Thunderbird. I can download my messages from Spectrum roadrunner but can't send messages. The error message is "can't connect to Outgoing server.(SMTR) mail.twc.com. This is the same address I use to receive mail.587. Spectrum couldn't figure it out. May have to replace Thunderbird! Tom Lally

Why would another email client connect, as your settings may be wrong? Thunderbird is only a messenger. The solution may be to find the correct settings. A search here for mail.twc.com brings up many users with the same problem. mobile.charter.net worked for some. If you post your complete SMTP settings, someone here may have suggestions. Thank you.
