I have this recurring problem, several website suddenly have a black background on them, making the black text barely unreadable, Here's an example of my initial django website opened in firefox and in chromium, it supposed to look like in chromium. Or the ashokma website that's supposed to be white

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Remove History For One Site

Open the History Manager <Control><Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any settings.

Are you possibly using a dark theme in your Linux operating system ?

You can check the default colors.

  • Options/Preferences -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors: "Override the colors specified by the page with my selections above"

Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.

No, I am not using a dark theme.

Deleting the history of the site did not solve it either.
