Need to get out of a partially set up sync. First time installing Firefox.
I was installing Firefox version 43.0.1. I did not understand what Sync was. I partially filled out the password and got as far as opening the email sent me on the same computer. I could go no further with sync. I tried the help to remove the sync and clicked on the expand menu button but my email address did not appear on this menu. The problem is that I cannot access any of my website addresses. It just keeps searching and I believe it's because this partially set up sync is locking me out. I need to know how to totally cancel and remove the Sync from my account. I only have one device that I access the internet with. Thank you.

Wonder where you got your FF Setup from as you should be at version 44.0.2 Do not know anything about sync ..... So with that in mind make a backup up of your profile and once done do a FF reset & follow directions here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings Now keeping in mind both that I know nothing about sync and your on the wrong version of FF; I see by my thoughts do possible damage to a files/sync that I know nothing about or wait for a possible better solution. If can afford to loose stuff then get to ver 44.0.2 with Help:About and ver should install or uninstall and get up to date version and will help you when you have the same problem...sorry....
If is a solution please come back and mark as solved, G'luck Best can do so wait for better
