Good afternoon, after accidentally installing snapdo, we cannot type in the address bar or search bar. I have managed to remove snapdo now from the laptop. Exported my bookmarks, reset firefox, nothing changed - still not working. Uninstalled firefox, reinstalled, still not working.

In the end we tried all of those - they didnt work, but this thread and prog recommended in there worked.

Then we uninstalled Firefox, deleted ALL files associated with it - in the AppData folder and then reinstalled it.

So it has now been resolved.

Hi there,

Sorry about your issues with Firefox! You may want to try the Firefox Reset feature. Unlike reinstalling Firefox, this method actually tries to fix issues in your personal profile (where bookmarks and other settings are stored). You can read more about what this feature does here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems

Hope this helps!

Thanks, David

No as I said, I tried the reset, it made no difference. I am clueless as to what else to do.
