My Java DT 8.0.660.18 plug-in is said to be vulnerable, and I don't know how to update it. Should I disable it?

I had problems with Firefox crashing lately, and it may have something to do with one of the plugins. So I checked the plugins I have, and I noticed that I have Java DT 8.0.660.18 installed, yet there is a warning that the plugin may be vulnerable. I have Windows XP, (yeah I know, stupid Microsoft doesn't support XP help anymore), and so getting the latest version of this will be tricky, let alone impossible. Should I change the setting in my Firefox to "never activate"?

I believe we've got to the root of the problem. For some time my Firefox Browser was slow, has been hanging for a bit, and had crashed 5 times in 3 minutes Thursday. Now that I've refreshed Firefox, even with Trend Micro inserted in, my browser is running faster than it ever was before. Hasn't crashed yet, no hanging, and now I know what the problem could be before it becomes a problem. Thanks, FredMcD, and team!

It can't hurt for now.

Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.

How do I send them to the Mozilla Servers? I would love to send these even if Firefox did not crash...yet.

I have a Trend Micro Toolbar in Firefox. It identifies what links are good or dangerous.

Check the above links. After, if there is still a problem, disable it as a test.

That was very good work. Well Done.

It might have been a conflict with an add-on. If you add them back, keep an eye out for problems.
