Most of the time, spellcheck does not work as it should. I get the wrong menu when i right click on a misspelled word for suggestions. This is the menu I get.

Sometimes, I get the list of suggestions, but most of the time, that's the menu I get. This happens on every site where there's a field where spellcheck can detect misspelled words. This has been happening since I updated to Firefox 12. I hoped that updating to FF13 would fix it, but it didn't

You normally get that menu if you didn't right click on the word, but on the text field surrounding the word.

You can try to reset Firefox, and see if that helps this issue. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

hello, maybe another addon is interfering (probably the one that is adding a button to the context menu) - please try if it's working correctly when you run firefox in safe mode...

Thanx for your help! Restarting in safe mode determined that it was an add-on. A process of disabling add-ons one by one determined that the problem was caused by Multi-Links. That add-on has also had a long history of causing the wrong menu to appear when I right click an image followed immediately by another menu appearing when I left click to get rid of the erronious menu. So I finally decided to just remove it and learn to do without it.

Dur. He already answered my question.

I guess I can't delete this useless post :/
