I want to only use Firefox as my full-time browser. I do not want to use Internet Explorer because it doesn't work on a web site I want to use, but Firefox does work. All I want to know is how do I insure that Firefox will be my full-time browser?

Please do the following:

  1. Start Internet Explorer.

  2. Click Tools | Internet Options and then click the Programs tab.

  3. Remove the checkmark from: "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default browser.

  4. Click Apply/OK and then close Internet Explorer.

  5. Start Firefox, click the orange Firefox button, go to Options | Options | Advanced.

  6. In the General tab, menu at the bottom, checkmark "Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup" and then click the "Check Now" button.

  7. Click OK.

That's all there is to it.
