change password problem
After receiving an email about lockwise absorption, I thought I would try changing my firefox account password. Mainly that was because I do not see any other way to log into another mac system without it. I can sync an ios device with the qr code scan but not another mac system.
So from the account profile I went to Change Password and changed the password to some new securely generated password.
Now in my saved passwords, I see that the new password is saved for "(no username)" account and the old password is still there for my user name.
But when I try to log into FF browser on another mac system with my user name, neither password works. They are both "incorrect".

Are you still logged in on at least one device? Did you try to login on the Firefox Account website?
On desktop you merely connect to the Firefox Account to upload/retrieve the logins to/from the Sync server, no need for a QR code or other action.
You connect to a Firefox account using the email address and the password. Note that this password is not the Primary Password used to encrypt the logins stored in Lockwise. The PP password is only used locally and never leaves the computer.
Thanks for your response.
As you say, on the desktop you need to connect to accounts.firefox.com with your email address and password.
What happened to me is that I changed my password and the new password went not to my email user name but to "no user name". Then I found that neither the old nor the new password would work with my email user name.
Now two days later I find that the new password will work with the email user name, after I enter a confirmation code. So it would appear that the problem has resolved itself with a little time.
Now I am wondering what you mean by "primary password" since I have no idea what that would be though it sounds like something I would need to know.
I would also wonder why the browser password manager must operate in a universe disconnected from the osx keychain.
