Hi, up to total of all processes of 2gig is about max. Most of the time it should top out at 1.5gig. Each Extension uses roughly 25meg each.

To be Checked and turned off unless needed for accessibility : Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Multi-Processor Support : Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2, try higher. Restart Firefox after making these changes please. Note : Hardware Acceleration is for Video Card, Monitor to see if remain off or to turn back on.

Only Disable as last resort.

Multi-processor Can completely disable it this way in about:config : dom.ipc.processCount set to 1 browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false

Only move to esr if low ram and old system.

If you carefully read my problem above it states

"I noticed since the last Slow Ring update to Build 17713 that Firefox has a very high memory leakage."

While memory was high before the update it was expected to be so. About 1.3GB - 1.4GB given my normal usage. However since the W10 update to the build 17713 the memory leak has occurred driving the memory usage up to 2.6GB for Firefox where it had been 1.3GB. Edge memory is also high.

My suggestion is to have someone in Firefox support check the memory usage of Firefox 60.0.1 on Windows 10 builds 17713 which I am using and 17728 the latest W10 Fast Ring update.

It could be the memory problem disappeared with 17728.

I am not messing with any Firefox extensions or multi-threading options at this point since Firefox worked as expected until this last Friday when W10 Slow Ring was updated to 17713.

I can live with the high memory leakage for now pending future W10 build updates and the official fall release of W10 R5

Sorry could not be more helpful with the issue. It is not setup here for us to be able to notify someone or to assign bug #'s. Though Moderator's can do so if determine it is a bug.

It is trouble shooting here only. Good Luck with it. Can try a Full Version Installer : https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ uninstall Firefox then reinstall and see if your still getting the issue.

I was able to solve the problem.

To make a long story short I found the solution on another website. I had to uninstall Firefox and then delete all the remaining folders and files

The I resinstalled logged into my Firefox sync account and did a refresh. Waited for the synchronization to finish and it was GTG.

I think the issue had to do with an old Certificate still in Firefox. The reason I think this. is because of what I read plus the fact that the one W10 device Firefox was working fine on was a device I had done a W10 Reset a couple of months ago. So the install of Firefox was clean after the W10 Reset as compared to the other devices I am using Firefox on and it was not working properly on I have been doing an update over an installed version for for at least a couple of years. So I think what happened is there were some old Certificates that were causing the problem. With the clean install the old Certificates were not there so everything worked fine.

P.S. I found all the Firefox folders and files using Search Everything a 3rd party Windows utility. I have been using it for maybe five years or more and it is still the best Windows search utility I have found.
