IE startup page overrides firefox startup page

I have discovered if I change my homepage in IE, no matter how i changed my settings in firefox, the startup page will be the same as IE. Only if i set IE about:blank, then firefox can start up as about:home. I have tried resetting firefox, it is no use. Since i have reset FF, there are no addons. Is there a solution to this problem?

I solved it!! I suspected hao123 and qvod player program. My browser's home page got hijacked by hao123 before, I removed that by googling the solutions. And it was removed but the hao123 occasionally appeared on startup page on FF. So I went researched and one solution is delete qvodevent.dll. Thus I removed it, and till now there isn't any problem anymore. I am not sure which work, but i did everything from scanning with all the programs LIMPET235 listed and to delete qvodevent.dll.

P.S just providing some solutions to people who has the same problem as me.
