HI I have the latest Thunderbird installed on my Redmi Note 8 Pro (Android 11). When I try to write an email and add an attachment (e.g., a photo), the system file manager opens. After selecting the file, it doesn't appear in Thunderbird. Sharing a file from the file manager via Thunderbird results in the same issue. Only when sharing a file through the system Gallery app to Thunderbird can I attach and send it successfully. In the permissions settings for Thunderbird, I only see options for Camera and Contacts. There is no option for Files and Media. I couldn't find a solution to this problem anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Every time I open a message I'm presented with the 'Show remote images' button which I have to click on to see the images in the email. I understand this is a security issue, but like the desktop version, I thought there might be an option to 'allow remote content' from the origin that would be remembered for all future correspondence. Is there a way to eliminate the need to always click on 'Show remote images'?

Hi, I download latest Thunderbird Android version ( dic 2024 ). I have several accounts loaded. When i use unified Inbox i do not see all the emails that it is supposed to be there. I mean all the messages from all the accounts. I know because i go to one specific email account inbox to another and i see messages from today or yesterday and these messages are not on unified inbox. I understand that unified inbox is an inbox for ALL the messages on ALL the accounts, isnt it? Another issue is because the loading of old messages and the search feature related. I dont know why but on a specific inbox, thunderbird android only load a very little quantity of messages ( 20 - 30 ) and no more. And there is not any command to load these month messages, or the prior month message or all the messages from these year, or latest year. There are not these kind of command. So when i do a search on a specific inbox i do not retrive any message because thunderbird android does not retrieve nor load more than just the 20 or 30 latest messages. I see 2 issues to take care on.

Is there a way to change font colors and add/remove bold in the signature field?

I tried adding html tags as in Thunderbird desktop but it didn't have any effect.

When I send a mail, the sent folder logically shows the recipient. However, if I move a sent mail into, say, a client folder, all I have is a very user-unfriendly header that shows that I sent the mail. Not a lot of help when I move many mails into client folders. There doesn't seem to be an option anywhere to change this.

On PC thunderbird I can remove the "from" column as I know it's from me, and show the "recipient" column. Is this possible on the mobile version of TB?

Two questions, specific to mobile version (no problem with Linux laptop version)

• how to create a folder and subfolder on an imap account ?
• how to mask subfolders (created by other mean) by default ? But to display only in parent vient.

Hi - it was super-easy to export my settings from Windows and import them into Thunderbird Android. The app is much faster than the Gmail app, I do like it. However, I've got a couple of issues:

- deleting a read email (from my inbox) permanently deletes it, it doesn't go to trash. - It appears that there is no address book for this application. Moreover, I can't find a way to have it look at my Google contacts - so I have to lookup and copy/paste my email recipients. I'm sure I am overlooking something. Other posts suggested something from the ... menu when composing, but I don't see an option to select from (Google) contacts.
