Firefox just updated itself to version 3.6.6 or whatever the latest update issued was. I closed the browser and reopened it to install whatever it updated and now the images on websites are pixilated as if they have been set to a lower resolution. I have changed nothing nor downloaded anything. I looked for an answer but could not find one and tried some of the suggest answers for similar display problems but none worked...liked clearing the cache.

For example on this page, at the bottom the JPEG image of the numbers to deter spambots are blurry.

Is there anyway to fix this?

In Firefox 3.6.4 the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings". See #Firefox_connection_settings|Firefox connection settings

You can find the connection setting here: Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy
