I very very recently upgraded to Windows 11, but even though I have Firefox and Thunderbird running with no problem, when I click on an email address on a website, instead of going to Thunderbird, I get some Windows email app that I never saw when just a month ago when I was still using windows 10 clicking on an email address would bring me right to Thunderbird. How can I get Windows 11 to use Thunderbird and only Thunderbird. I am not a techie, so if you know a solution, please be as clear as possible. Thank you.

Under settings>general, you can tick a box to check if Thunderbird is the default and set it. BUT, sometimes Windows gets involved. SO, if setting to default doesn't work, you may need to search for 'default apps' in Windows to verify/set the default email app.

Thanks David, In the version of Windows 11 that I have "settings" does not go to a "general" option, but I did find how I could get to "default apps" and making Thunderbird a default for everything seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the help. I am not a happy Windows 11 user.
