Just to make sure : does "all suggested methods" include going to Options => Customize, click on "Toolbars" => Bookmarks Toolbar  ?

yes didn't work

opened a different profile it is there working so is connected to profile

This can be caused by a problem with using Restore Previous Session as the startup setting, so if you restore the session automatically on the next start then try to disable this feature.

As a footnote, this is a one-restart change, not a new lifestyle. You can:

• turn off the setting
• exit Firefox and start it up again
• on the menu, Restore Previous Session
• then go back to the Options page and turn Restore back on

thank you that was it was a problem with a problem with using Restore Previous sessions I was away from my desk top for a bit tried it today and it worked thank you
