How do I prevent Thunderbird from hijacking the "send to" operation? It is not the default email client. Windows 10.
Thunderbird not running Clicking a file in file explorer, then right click, then select send. Thunderbird opens, creates a new message with the attachment.
I don't want Thunderbird to open. Microsoft Outlook is set to default email client, so it should launch and create a new mail with the attachment.
Thunderbird default client is unselected.
Is there a Registry setting that can be removed/edited?

The send to function is defined in your operating system. This is not a Thunderbird issue.
Yes, I am aware of that. In my OS (Win 10) the default email app is set to Outlook, yet the send to function still launches Thunderbird. I can't believe anyone else hasn't experienced this, but then it is likely that most people who install thunderbird are using it as their primary email client, not their secondary email client. This is why I asked the question... Thunderbird doesn't seem to be abiding by the OS default client setting... which is why I think it is a Thunderbird problem.
You can Google changing the send to function for Windows. It has nothing to do with the default mail client.
