i downloaded the video download helper 5.3.3.1 and it installed, and i see it listed in the ad ons section under tools...however, no where on the bar up top does it show and i cant get it there. i try to customize the top bar, another window like page pops up showing what can be dragged onto it but video dl helper isnt in the list. all thats in the list is simple things like open file, sidebars, pocket, email link, and so on......no matter what i do, vdh wont show in the customize list nor in the main bar up top. im using firefox 38.0.5, on windows 8.

forgot to add, in the past, for instance like when i go to youtube, i'd play a video and i'd see the three little bubble thingies spinning around and i'd click that and i'd get options for download...thats not happening now, again as stated above, no vdh icon anywhere .

Try to click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette window if you can't find the button.
