How do I delete Omnibar?
I modified my navigation bar by adding Omnibar but I did not know it would eliminate my search bar so now I want to restore the old search bar and delete Omnibar. Can't figure out how to do this.
Also, I want to add Google as a search engine choice within the search bar, rather than being limited to just the Ask.com option.
Chosen solution
Actually I ended up resetting Firefox settings under HELP > Troubleshooting which appears to have removed the Omnibar and restored the search bar but thnx this was good direction for future use

Try this first:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
Does the Omnibar extension have a Remove button? If so, click Remove and restart Firefox and you should be done.
If it has a Disable button but not a Remove button, you may need to uninstall through the Windows Control Panel.
Any luck?

Regarding Ask, is it affecting the search box with the icon at the left, or the URL bar?
For changing to Google search instead of Ask, click on the Ask.com icon. If there is an option to change it to Google.com instead, you can click that. If not, click on 'manage search engines' then click 'add more search engines near the bottom of the menu that appears. There should be an extension to add Google.

Hi doug, the Reset feature creates a folder on your desktop named Old Firefox Data. I suggest retaining that for a couple of weeks in case you discover something important missing from your new slimmed-down Firefox. If so, please post about it so we can assist with recovering the relevant part of your old data folder.
