How to get rid of websites opening tabs without authorisation?
Hello,
In the last week, I have been getting websites opening up new tabs on my browser without my authorisation. I have tried using ad block to stop it, refreshing firefox, running malware (there was a threat which I removed), running malware ad cleaner (threats removed) but it is still doing it and driving me mad. My husband is now also getting the same problem.
Has anyone got the same problems please and how to fix it?
Thank you

What websites are opening without your permission? Can you please open Firefox, type about:support into the address bar, press enter and copy over what you see?

All sort of websites, adversiting sites saying that I have won something, etc...
I am trying to copy what I see when typing about:support but this is too long, how can I send it to you please?
Please past it into https://www.pastebin.com/ and give me the url.
Thanks!
Is this what you need??link text
Yes thank you!
If you install https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/ does that help?
I will try it and get back to you. It doesn't do it all the time so will have to wait 24 hours to get a proper thumbed up. I have tried lots of things today and thought I had sorted it but then problem re-occurred after a few hours!!
Thanks for your help
What options do I need to select in the menus, any idea? Or just leave the app to run as it is?
For uBlock? You can keep the existing options and it should work.
Ok thanks, will let you know
