As stated above, I get a 404 error message when I try to access the "My Account" section after logging in to Craigslist with my Firefox. When I log in to Craigslist through Google Chrome, I can access the "My Account" section. I have changed nothing in the Firefox options list. I do have Firefox set to automatically update. I do not know when this problem first started as it has been a few months since I last accessed My Account on Craigslist.

Are there any other problems? Make sure the link you are using is correct.

If the link goes directly to your account, try starting at the websites main page, going to your account, and creating a new shortcut.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Thanks for at least trying to help me out. I do appreciate it even if it didn't solve the problem.

Hello davelp,

Would you check this please :

Type in the address bar about:config (press Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked)

Type in the search bar and look for the preference :

network.http.sendRefererHeader

And make sure that its value is not set to 0 (zero)

default value is '2' - you could use a value of '1'

See : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Network.http.sendRefererHeader

Note: If you have to change the value - don't forget to close and restart Firefox.

Also see :

(you'll have to scroll down some)

'Hope this helps ........ (fingers crossed)

Again I thank you for the attempt to solve this for me. The RefererHeader value was already set at "2" so that apparently isn't the issue. I got a Firefox update several weeks ago but I don't know if that is the source of the problem because I don't know if the problem arose before or after that update. I hadn't posted items for sale on Craigslist for several months.

Hello again davelp,

As none of the suggestions solved the problem for you (bummer  !), may I suggest that you contact Craigslist :

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/contact

One last stab in the dark though : if you have any security software installed, would you disable it (for now) and see if that will make a difference  ?

I actually contacted Craigslist first about 4 days ago and again 2 days ago and have yet to hear from them. I did disable my antivirus as you suggested and it made no difference. I think it could be a Craigslist issue because they recently updated their site to eliminate their "Personals" section due to some Federal law. Who knows what else they may have done. Again, thanks for trying.
