My browser has become unreliable and flaky. Bookmarks are changed each time I open it. New bookmarks are added and duplicate bookmarks appear. I also have two Firefox icons on my taskbar. What's going on here? Can you help? Thanks, Tom C

So for example i watch video on youtube (doesn't matter, it happens on every site), and i want to skip 5 seconds, i press the arrow key and the video rewinds, BUT the sound is glitching a little bit, until these 5 seconds are rewinded, and its very annoying. Same sound glitch happens on BSOD, audio is just repeat last millisecond of itself. so how do i fix it? i dont have thins thing at other browsers, and also this glitch doesn't appear in every session, sometimes everything is ok, but not always

Trying to figure out why I can no longer save bookmark/favorite. Star icon is blue or turns blue when I click on it and then it does not save page? Windows 11 Firefox default browser.

Hello there! I'm a relatively new Firefox user that started using it around a month ago. The main reason is that it's currently the only browser that has smooth video streaming across other browsers I tried when I also do more demanding things on a secondary screen. However, since I started using it, I am facing a weird issue, where I am being randomly disconnected from chat on twitch.tv channels. It mostly happens on chats that are offline - but are still actively used by others - and sometimes, but rather rarely, happens on chats that are online but are slower - the error also seem to be different on those. It always looks like this: I connect to chat, use it just fine, then suddenly I get the message on the bottom saying "Connecting to chat". It usually takes a second, maybe two tops to reconnect. I have checked the page using Inspect function, and noticed an error that appears when those reconnections occur: "The connection to wss://irc-ws.chat.twitch.tv/ was interrupted while the page was loading". But the page is loaded already. I didn't refresh it or anything like that. So what gives? I have tested other browsers - Edge, Chrome, Opera - however it seems that the problem is Firefox-centric. The same chat on the aforementioned apps do not have the same problem while Firefox is happily reconnecting me here and there. I have tried clearing cache and cookies, I also tested in private mode without extensions, and in Troubleshooting mode, but to no avail. I also did a full Refresh of the browser, but the error returned after a day. I am attaching some screenshots that I did during the investigation for documentation. I was in contact with my ISP and Twitch Support, but on both ends was told that no problems were found. And so I am coming to the direct Firefox support. Any advice would be appreciated!

I cannot login to Bestbuy.com on firefox, but yet it works fine on Safari.

i host diablo_web_simple on my root running nginx when i use chrome it only loads the chunks of diabdat.mpq once -> then loads them from cache when using firefox it always loads the chunks and doesnt use cache -> this results in slower load and less performance

diabdat.mpq = ~270mb chunksize = between 1-7mb combined chunksize of loading game: ~65mb

i already set in about:config browser.cache.check_doc_frequency 2

i also set headers for caching this file in nginx

nothing works pls help

after update of window 11 to 24H2, Firefox keeps crashing on start. I completed deinstalled Firefox, rebooted and installed again, no effect. I switched off hardware acceleration and all add-ins and selected system theme, no effect. No crash occurs when started in troubleshoot mode. I did a clean-up (in troubleshoot mode), no effect. What should I do now? Where is the error log?

I'm trying to measure power consumption in Firefox using automation. My goal is to get power consumption metrics for specific webpage loads.

What I've tried: 1. Using Puppeteer with Firefox's profiler:

  - Enabled power profiling preferences
  - Used the Profiler CDP commands
  - Got profile data but no power metrics

I know Firefox DevTools has power profiling capabilities in the Performance panel, but I need to access this programmatically. Is there a way to: 1. Access the same power metrics that Firefox's Performance panel shows? 2. Get power consumption data through Firefox's debugging protocol or any other API? 3. Enable and collect power profiling data in an automated way?

Any guidance on the correct approach would be greatly appreciated!

When playing videos in Facebook after a few of them I get a blue circle spinning . When I use chrome I don't have a problem.I have had Firefox for over 10 years ,if I cannot fix this Em going to have to use chrome

A few months ago after an update to Firefox the window would open but be transparent with no controls visible. I tried the refresh Firefox option which worked but left other problems. A website has a medium blue header at the top with white fonts (links) on it, which still appear that way in Chrome and Opera, but since the refresh the header is black with black fonts in Firefox (which of course you can't see). There are also variations of this problem on some other other websites. The only way I can see links on those sites is to set color management to override 'always'. Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks Mike

I've used Norton Safe Search on FireFox for years with no problem. But few weeks back, when I use Safe Search, it does no longer brings back the green checks indicating the site is safe. It works with Edge, but not with FireFox. I've contacted Norton and still waiting to get a response. Anyone have idea as to what is going on and how to fix it?

Reinstalled Win 10 pro on my i7 4th gen 16gb RAM 250 SSD copied firefox profile folder which brings back all my windows tabs bookmarks etc

I now get tabs crashing constantly

Before the reformat I used Norton 360 at mostley default settings for over 6 months with no problems,

tried turning things off in Norton

Norton 360 is reinstalled: browser extensions, password manager, norton homepage, norton safeweb, norton safesearch are all not installed Browser and browser data protection is on, VPN is off turned off auto protect and smartfirewall

use to use adblockplus and privacy badger firefox add ons with no problem these are now off

Ive refreshed startup and cleared startup cache

maybe when I copied the profile across it missed some files however I did zip the old profile folder and copied its a big file 690MB unzipped

For the past day or so every video on YouTube pauses after one minute with the 'Circle of Death' icon. Just hangs. Reloading the page only clears for a short time and after another minute it happens again. Speed tests and diagnostics from my Internet provider shows no constraints or problems with the connection. Other streaming applications do not have this problem. This happens with Firefox and Edge trying to show YouTube videos. Is there an application setting or Mozilla update that may have affected this activity? The attached image shows the pause at 1:00 minute.

I see this as a performance problem, and one that I'd hoped would be solved by now, since others brought it up in an Apple Forum.

When using iCloud Notes, the list always used to have empty circles/radio buttons to click on when done. They have all become black squares instead. Apparently this happened, according to a poster, with version 131.0. If so, it is still a problem with version 132.0.2, which I currently have.

Recently, I've been experiencing an issue with YouTube on Firefox. I have restarted all my network equipment and removed any extensions from Firefox, but the problem continues. Any help would be appreciated. Please see attached photo.

Google Slides is very slow on Firefox compared to Chrome. It lags all the time in Firefox compared to Chrome where it runs normally.

What?: Using screensharing option in Google meets stuns computer. Where?: Version 132.0.2 (64-bit) macOS 15.1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Google meet meeting. 2. Click share screen. 3. Select "Use operating system settings". - this is the only option available 4. Click Allow. Current behaviour: The screensharing feature stuns the computer, showing the loading mouse cursor for ever. I can't select the screen I want to share. The computer is unusable even after quiting Firefox. the computer should be restarted. Desired behaviour: The screensharing works normally.

When I click any link in an email (gmail) firefox refuses to take me to the site. Instead I get error messages like error 404 or most recently, the attached which was from a link in an email from my doctor. I opened the same link using brave no problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox a few times. I have deleted all plug ins. I can open every single one of those links and any other links in brave or any other browser. Not firefox. This is frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.
