So, suddenly Mozilla has a lime green border all around the window. How do I turn it off?
The green border appeared yesterday, and I've turned Firefox off and back on a number of time since then. The green border is still there.

Hi !
Your system details show that you have three versions of Shockwave Flash installed. Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs, and then get the current full installer.
Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
Then reinstall the latest version.
Flash Player Version: 25.0.0.171
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Note: Optional offer: McAfee Security
Let's try Firefox in Safe Mode :
If Firefox is not running :
Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.
If Firefox is running :
3-bar menu => ' ? ' (at the bottom of the dropdown) => 'Restart with Add-ons disabled'.
Then OK the restart.
A small dialog should appear.
Click 'Start in Safe Mode' ( not 'Refresh' !)
See : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Do you use any security software that might "sandbox" Firefox or other browsers? A sandbox is a separate program that isolates whatever is running inside it from the rest of your system to help reduce the potential for damaging attacks from web content. A colored border is one way a sandboxing program might indicate that Firefox is protected (or Windows is protected from Firefox, depending on how you look at it).
