How to download Firefox apk for Android (not Google Play)
I want to download Firefox apk file for Android without using Google Play. I navigated from https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#Download_Firefox_for_Android to https://download.mozilla.org/?product=fennec-latest&os=android&lang=multi but it gives me the error page:
"Your connection is not secure"
"The owner of download.cdn.mozilla.net has configured their web site improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this web site. This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate."
How do I get the apk for Android Firefox? I need the x86 version.
Note: 1. Can't use Google Play at the moment 2. The answer to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1127168 is not working/helpful (gives the same security error).
Thanks.

Hi
I recomend that you follow this guide to install Firefox Aurora (ignore that is it for Amazon Kindle, the process is the same).
Firefox for Android and Firefox Beta for Android will only update if you have downloaded them from Google Play. Firefox Aurora will update without Google Play, but please note that is a pre-Release version of Firefox so there may be one or two unresolved issues.
I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can see if there is a different solution for you.

^Ignore the need to use Aurora channel builds to install or get updates. The Aurora was suggested long ago in order to get updates on manual installs and not be manually installing .apk for each new version.
Firefox Releases for Android has been available from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/android/all/ for a while now and does get updates.
Is this on your desktop or on Android that you are having trouble downloading from https:// ?
If on desktop then a couple common reasons can be due to your OS system date/time being incorrect or your antivirus client is inserting its own certificate and causing this connection issue.
