Compose Issues With 68.10.0 Under MacOS Catalina
I have two macs. One is an iMac running High Sierra (10.13.6) (HS). The other is a new Macbook running Catalina (10.15.6). I have Thunderbird 68.10.0 installed on both. Under 10.15 replying to messages is a nightmare. I want to reply in fixed with font, but find that which font tbird wants to use is arbitrary. Rather than provide a detailed description of my process, I will provide the preferences.js from each machine, just tell me how to get them to you. We can go from there in working this. Probably my mistake but if reverting to an earlier version of tbird will fix this simply I prefer to do that.

More information. I like to view IMAP messages in fixed width font and with images not displayed which decreases message download. The option to not display images seems to be gone and I am left only with viewing the message in HTML or whatever "plain text" is. I'm interested in an image in a message and so change the view option to HTML to see the image. I want to reply but there are all those images in the middle of the message and there is no simple way to remove them in the compose window. So I switch the view of the message back to plain text and click reply with the fixed width font selection to highlight and delete. As I key my reply, or insert text via CMD-V or copy a portion of the message to insert (CMD-C CMD-V) the font changes to variable width with wildly varying font styles and sizes. This doesn't happen if I'm working on the High Sierra iMac.
I've diff'ed the two prefs.js files but need to know how to upload them to this site and associate them with this issue.
Lastly, I am reporting this issue in the right place? Since no one has commented maybe I need to move the issue to support - how does one do that?

The font for composition is specified in Preferences/Composition/General/HTML, where you can specify fixed width. But maybe you are more concerned about the display fonts, which are set in Preferences/Display/Formatting/Fonts & Colors/Advanced... Choose the fonts and sizes, including for monospace (fixed width), with Fonts for: Latin and with Fonts for: Other Writing Systems.
