I guess Thunderbird updated and now, like many other folks, one of my sub folders has disappeared. I tried to troubleshoot using articles posted in the Help sections but the GUI has changed and the functions listed in said articles don't correspond to the version I'm running (31.4.0).

I tried using the Troubleshooting Information function and the folder where all my subfolders are supposed to be, doesn't list the missing folder I've been using for years but it does show my other sub folder (I checked "AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\ykdubu9k.default\Mail").

I'm at a loss as to what to do next. None of my Preferences had any delete options selected so I don't see how the folder could have been deleted but I don't know where else to check.

And now I just realized that around 75% of the e-mails that were in my Inbox folder are now gone. I'm NOT happy about this. :(

right click the inbox and select properties and then repair.

Hi Matt, thanks for helping out.

I tried that and it didn't restore the folders. It's beginning to look like an update nuked them, unless they somehow got compacted somewhere and I can't see them. *sigh*
