Ad popups appear in the uppermost left-hand corner of the desktop screen every time I start Mozilla Release 17.0 and are blocked from redirecting me to another website. The source address of each is, as the subject states: http://techblog4uonly.blogspot.com - Laura's Blog - Mozilla Firefox.

These do not close until Firefox closes, and then sometimes persist until I use Task Manager to force them closed. Going to the site blogspot.com takes me to https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=blogger&passive=1209600&continue=http://www.blogger.com/home&followup=http://www.blogger.com/home&ltmpl=start#s01
The site http://techblog4uonly.blogspot.com takes me to Laura's Blog, and her address is [email protected]. I do not recall giving Laura Polock permission to embed script on my home computer. I don't find a way to gracefully put this, but if she is not generating ad revenue by desk-spam, then who is? If she has been hijacked, then who better to tell her than the community she hopes to serve with identity protection - and that is one of her offers.

Please update to Firefox 21 (17 is no longer supported or secure). Then, try reading Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware and Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

I did update Firefox and am running ver 21, but those popups keep occurring. I can select to close the popup ads, but how is LaurasBlog able to do these popup ads? She is doing this from her Google account.
