Sync is not accepting sync key from mobile device

I just created a sync account using a key that I created myself. I created the key in a text editor then copied/pasted it into the account set up screen. The account seemed to be created just fine, and I believe my data was uploaded to the servers. However when I entered the credentials into my mobile device (HTC/T-Mobile G2) it said I entered the wrong sync key. I triple checked the key I entered, and it's the same as the one I copied/pasted when I set up the account. What do I do now? Suggestions...anyone...anyone...please?

You must use the same Sync version on all your devices.

In recent versions of Sync, it now creates its own key so that it complies with a specific format, check to see if the key has been changed. In the version of Firefox that you set up Sync, go to he Options dialog (in the Tools menu select Options), then go to the Sync panel. Click the Manage Account button, then on the My Sync Key link.

I'm having the same issue. Running 1.6.1 plug-in. PC Browser is current version. Appears to be working from PC browser. I've checked for any updates, etc. and there are none. Running beta browser on DroidX running most current android: 2.2. I keep getting "wrong sync key" on droid. I even regenerated the key on the PC and tried again. Thanks.
