I get this error and do not get the "Advanced" option so that I can continue. I s there a way to get this option again or to configure Firefox to allow an SSL3 connection.

This is in Firefox 50.0.2

I think SSL3 was disabled by default on Fx34 to prevent Poodle attacks. It probably can be toggled back on by setting to a value of 0 {Zero) the pref

security.tls.version.min

However I guess it is much safer just making an exception for the one URI.

Try pasting this special code in to the address bar & pressing Enter when you get the error on the problem tab

chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul

Does that give you an advanced option &|or an option to store the exception.

Hi tweedie23, This is an old question thread.

Please

  1. Post your own question using /questions/new
  2. Try to give the troubleshooting info requested whilst in that question flow
  3. Post back here to say you have asked your own question - We should be able to easily find it.

I have no problems with using Firefox to connect to shelpers.com However what I get suggests the original website does not exist and is up for sale. Maybe what you have is an old outdated link.
