i need mx records

more options

Hi, I have recently ended my domain subsscription with one.com and upon cancelling, I lost my email which I hosted with Thunderbird. I have contacted new domain company and they said to use my old email address I need the MX records. I have asked one.com and they say there is nothing they can do as the domain is cancelled. I need the email address as it is what I use for my business. Where can I obtain the MX records I need to then re-use my old email name?

So you still own the domain? That's a good start.

MX records give mail senders the inbound address of your email service provider.

It sounds as though your old domain registrar provided email service (i.e., it received mail for you, sent mail for you, and hosted your mailbox for you) and the new one does not.

Since you already canceled your service with the old email provider, using the old MX records will cause all your mail to be undeliverable -- it will be rejected by your old provider. Will they let you reactivate your subscription and restore your (deleted?) email?
