google calendar no longer sending email reminders
A while back I noticed that my google calendar no longer sends reminders to my gmail (or rather, I suspect, gmail does not receive them). Yesterday I missed an important meeting because of this, so I want to get to the bottom of it. I verified that the reminders are properly set in my calendar, so I have to assume that they are going out. The pop-up windows do pop, so I assume that it is not on the calendar side. I also noted that calendar.google.com and gmail.google.com have the proper permissions to send pop-ups and notifications to gmail, which indicates to me that this end of the equation is working. (Don't know how to isolate the error further, though.) It seems that the Firefox settings need to be changed somehow. Any ideas?
Thank you!

Please explain how your Google issue is a Firefox browser issue?
I do not know where to look. All I know is that the google side seems OK, and yet I don't get the email notifications. I am using Firefox, so that would be my next stop. I really am clutching at straws here. One final thought that might help: I do remember after a Firefox update a few months back I was asked to look at my settings and I changed some of them (although I have no idea what those were, or if the changes would contribute to my problems.)

Is the issue emails not being sent or prompts or both?

Email is not a Firefox problem, but the push notification is set.
I do not understand your last response, so I'll try again to explain my situation (in as far as I understand it) in different words.
1. google calendar can notify me through a pop-up window and through emails. (This different from other calendars I use, such as microsoft.) I routinely use a mixture of both delivery modes, usually two emails 24 and 8 hours before the event, and then a pop-up 30 minutes before.
2. This setup used to work, but a few months ago I did a Firefox upgrade. During the upgrade I was invited to check my settings, which I did. I made some changes, and I think I may have tightened the security to the point where the emails do not get through. (I do not, however, remember what I changed, and the email is not stuck in my spam filter or otherwise intercepted.)
That is all I know. I have no idea who the culprit is, and I do not know how to effectively eliminate any one part of the system.
If the emails are in spam, mark them as not spam and they should go to your inbox. You can also create rules.
@jonzn4SUSE: Let me first say that I appreciate your patience and tenacity.
To your implied question: I never get the emails. They are not in my spam folder, and I now suspect they are never generated, even though the reminders clearly are set. Is there a way to verify that they get triggered? (I know this is probably a google question, but those guys do not respond as well as you do.)
Contact Google support as this is their software that is the issue here and sounds like it is the cause. Firefox can't fix Google notification issues.

Thanks, but we cannot tell you if it's triggered. It's a google product and we have no access. So we agree this is not a Firefox browser issue???
