You may need a fresh login to the accounts.firefox.com website to access the Settings page, so if necessary logout and login again.

Have done so as directed and the attached image is from the page after the first attempt after a 24 hour break. So then logged out and the logged into Firefox and received a prompt to create the Recovery Key again but that also failed with a different message.

Now here's also another piece of the puzzle. I don't trust password managers and have a spreadsheet set up that contains SITE, USER ID, CURRENT PWD, LAST PWD, SECURITY QUESTIONS and other data. I had already received an Account Recovery Key quite a few years back and still have that recorded in the log yet the Account Recovery says no key has been generated. Concommitently there is no option to remove the key to generate a new key. Was there an issue at some point where keys were corrupted or lost on the Mozilla side? I've still got one but am afraid to use it, if I had to, at this point.
