Are you having problems with Firefox 4, is so what are they, somebody may be able to help you.

If you wish to return to Firefox 3.6.15, uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

You can then install Firefox 3.6.15 available from http://www.mozilla.com - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.

There are a couple of possible issues involving extensions, themes and toolbar customizations when downgrading. To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

NO. You cannot revert back and you will lose everything if you install an earlier version over the top of Firefox 4 which in my opinion is a mess. I did not uninstall Firefox 4 unfortunately I just re installed Firefox 3.6.15 over the top as I did when upgrading earlier versions BUT I lost everything including History and Bookmarks. I had to salvage what I could from backups. DO NOT INSTALL EARLIER VERSION OVER FIREFOX 4 ..... the Tecno's forgot to think AGAIN!!! You must uninstall Firefox 4 first and follow instructions as in the above excellent post by TonyE. Unfortunately Mozilla forgets about us the user and gives us software still under development. I could not find one useful change in Firefox 4. I found it a confusing MESS. Not user friendly and no longer simple to use. The changes made are frustrating like moving the tab browsing tabs to above the address bar Dumb and Stupid. Supposedly a clever idea by some Techno Clown who I guess never uses the internet apart from playing his games.

The address bar is no longer an address bar it has a fancy name and I found it USELESS cause when I used it; it showed every site I did not want anyone else to see. There seems to be a lack of Privacy in Firefox 4. As an original user of Mozilla Netscape and then Firefox who has recommended to hundreds of others users sadly at this time I cannot recommend Firefox4, and it may not be popular in Asia the worlds biggest market as the number 4 when translated, means DEATH! Another important aspect Mozilla forgot to consider!

If you follow the instructions I gave it does not delete the profile folder where the user data such as bookmarks are stored. When you install the earlier version it will use the same profile data so you do not lose your user data.

I have some issues with Firefox 4 that make me want to revert back! For starters that text box thing where it is now resizable. I am a game designer and it makes my new social game look funny. Not only that but now I have to again go back into the code and add another line to disable it. Not to mention the backend of my app now has colored borders when it did not before. It should only be colored text for things I am using php to calculate.

How ever I like the new look and feel.. Note: I upgraded hoping it would resolve the flash issue and get rid of the plugincontainer.exe that keeps running when I open a site. This was never an issue in the past and only started showing up in the later verisons of firefox. Some people say that it's an issue and other say it's normal. All I know is it's yet another process taking up resources on the laptop I use to delvelope my social apps.
