Clicking a link opens a new tab
Hi! I've been using Firefox on my laptop for several months now, and have not had this problem until about an hour ago: Everything I click opens a new tab. And I mean everything. YouTube video? New tab. Trying to view an email? Said email opens in a new tab. Google search? each page of the search opens a new tab. I frequently use multiple tabs, and like to open new links in new tabs, like when I'm on Facebook and want to listen to Youtube. But now, anything and everything opens in a new tab, and I don't want that. I know some websites open new tabs, but these are sites that don't, as I said before. I've tried the about:config fixes I've seen on the web, but nothing works. I've reset Firefox, and it's still opening every. single. link in a new tab, which is annoying. I thought maybe my Ctrl key was stuck, but it's not. Is there a fix for Firefox that will stop this? Thanks

Thanks for the responses guys. I reset Firefox and restarted my computer, and it seems to have fixed the issue. Phillip, i'm not sure how to disconnect the keyboard, or if i even can on my laptop, however, it did not appear to be a stuck key, but as i was also experiencing the same issues with Chrome and Opera, it may have been the sensitive pad under the plastic key was somehow stuck. Fred, thanks for that, i'll save it in case i ever experience this again. :)

hello, i think you may be on to something with the thought about the keyboard. can you try how firefox is behaving when you disconnect the keyboard temporarily?
Type about:preferences#general<Enter> in the address bar. Check the settings under Tabs.
