I just downloaded Firefox 4 and the "screen enlargement" feature on Mac's (where you spread your fingers apart on the mouse and the screen fonts get larger) is not working in this version. Is this feature not available in Firefox 4?
I use this feature to view smaller fonts / e-mails frequently so will downgrade back to Firefox 3.x if it doesn't work in 4. This is the same feature that you would use on an iPhone for instance to enlarge the screen view. Also, I am a running the very latest version of Mac OS 10.6.7 but it also didn't work on the prior version (10.6.6 I presume). Thanks for any help.

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.
browser.gesture.pinch.in cmd_fullZoomReduce browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift cmd_fullZoomReset browser.gesture.pinch.out cmd_fullZoomEnlarge browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift cmd_fullZoomReset
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Hi cor-el,
Thank you for letting me know I can restore the zoom feature. I don't understand how to do it though.
I was able to open the about:config page, but I wasn't sure what to do next. Which of the 4 browser.gesture things above do I click on, and then what value do I enter?
I would greatly appreciate more info on this! Thank you for taking the time to respond!
