After successfully migrating my website to a new host, I tried updating my email setup using the most current version of Thunderbird on my Mac. I use IMAP. My email has many folders. When I change the server name from my previous host's server to the new host's server name, all my folders disappear. And of course I don't receive new emails if I keep the old server name. How can I update the server names yet retain all my old email and folders? Thanks.

Before losing an IMAP account, you can save the messages to your pc by checking to ensure it is set for offline use and to then use File>offline to ensure all messages are downloaded. You can then copy the IMAP folders (e.g., INBOX, INBOX.msf) to your local folders section for future use.
