Ubuntu Taskbar: Thunderbird button immediately selected for a move ("hand" pointer) on mouse over
This "feature" was introduced with latest upgrade (68.10.0 (64 bits)) and is extremely annoying. Please REMOVE ! Thank you
When mouse is far, no problem. When mouse comes near or over the TaskBar button for Thunderbird master window, the pointer becomes an "hand", and the button begins to follow the mouse. All input is then directed to Thunderbird and only the "Esc" (Escape) key allows to... escape !
Images attached showing also that the Thunderbird button becomes blurred (enlarged) which is not a problem if this "feature" could be simply removed: other software offers button displacement in the TaskBar ONLY if the mouse button is pressed.
In practice, this is really an annoying behavior.
Thunderbird version 68.10.0 Linux Mint (Ubuntu) 19.3 Tricia Linux 4.15.0-143-generic
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your help in correcting this bug !

I used "snap" as explained here: https://linuxhint.com/getting_latest_version_firefox_linux_mint/ to install Thunderbird: I have now the latest version (78.10.2) and the problem disappeared.
Thank you very much for the advices !

re :This "feature" was introduced with latest upgrade (68.10.0 (64 bits)) Are you saying you have had this problem for the past 28 updates as the lastest version is now 78.10.2 ?
This does not sound like a Thunderbird issue, but more likely it's your computer - like a 'drag' icon on Task Bar has got stuck. right click any icon in the task bar, select preferences --> configure -- Go to the 'panel' tab, and turn off 'Enable app button dragging'
Thank you very much for your attention and advises.
- I do not have this problem with other applications (and did not had it before last update).
- I do not have it either with the other Thunderbird windows (for instance a message being edited), only with the main one.
- I do not have the option mentionned in the Taskbar Preferences Configure panel (I suppose it appears in more recent version of Linux).
- I do not have access to more recent versions of Thunderbird as Linux Mint stays "behind" new versions in its repositories.
Wishing you a very nice day!
