Saving Sent Messages
I've recently upgraded to the latest version of Thunderbird, but see that none of my "Sent" messages is appearing in the "Sent" folder. I've also noticed that if I save something as a "Draft" that doesn't seem to get saved either, so I'm guessing that the settings within the "Copies & Folders" section of the Account Settings maybe wrong. I have a tick in the box to automatically save copies of sent messages in the "Sent" folder so that part is okay. The name of the Sent folder in the box following the tick is simply my email address - no directory levels or anything like that - just my email address. Help would be greatly appreciated, please.

Is this an IMAP or POP account?
I've just looked and it's POP
Create a folder under your account and call it Sent Items. Change settings so that sent items get saved in this folder. Try sending a message and see if it's copied there.
Thanks for that. I don't think I did exactly what you suggested as I couldn't seem to add the Folder as the place to send it. However, when trying to do it, I spotted in the Copies and Folders section of the Account settings, if I clicked on "Other" for saving Sent files, then clicked on onto the drop down menu after the box "Sent on Local Folders", the n hovered over the box "Local Folders" that appeared, another Drop Down appeared. Amongst the items in the Drop Down list was "sent". So I clicked on that, tested it and it works. I have the same problem with Draft files too and one of the items in the drop down list "Drafts" so I bet that one too.
Not quite what you suggested but nevertheless, you put me in the right direction and helped so it, so greatly appreciated! Thanks!
